MIDDLE AGES PROJECT- 5th GRADE

In Social Science our students learn many different things. This time, they learned about The Middle Ages in Spain.

Our 5th grade classes teamed up to make a big project about it.

📌5A made their own Muslim mosaics, cutting small paper tiles and creating a pattern

📌5B created amazing city models made out of cardboard, clay or fimo. And also replicated typical stained glass windows from the Gothic Art.

📌5C designed a Visual Timeline, replicating relevant paintings of different historical events.

COMING SOON... HAPPY ST.PATTY'S DAY

At our school we LOVE celebrating special days.

This time, we will honor St.Patrick by wearing something green to school.

We know that if we don't we could get pinched, and that's not fun!

According to folklore, you get pinched on St. Patrick's day for not wearing green because green makes you invisible to leprechauns, and leprechauns like to pinch people.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

3rd GRADERS AND THE GARDEN

At our school we love to extend our learning from the books to the actual world.

That's exactly what our 3rd graders did with the Natural Science Unit focused on "Plants ".

They watched first hand all the parts of different plants, planted seeds, observed some animals pollinating flowers, watered them... In a nutshell, they became experts in plants and their needs.

Back in class they were able to write about all these new concepts more easily as they had learned them from experience.

Check out this video to appreciate their AMAZING work. 😊
